Pagey: You might not like being characterised as a simpleton but you're not making a very good case for not being.
You see, it's quite simple, the inner bowl is not the same one that I presume you sat in during the Olympics. It's new and retractable, and from what I understand the rake is shallower than the original. Therefore it's more likely that your view will be obscured by people in front of you. Still, mustn't grumble, it'll be a bit like standing on the south bank, but miles from the action.
Can any of you pro O.S. explain to me why clubs across europe have been moving out of athletics stadiums into purpose built football stadiums if the athletics stadiums are so great.

People who don't like things are always in the right, it doesn't matter what subject, the decision is made it's final and binding it's a commitment a stand on an issue, if you don't say the same things they've decided are true then you're obviously stupid otherwise it means they are by default.

Don't decide to dislike things then you wont have to keep worrying about being wrong.

Re: Last nights Bondholders meeting
I can't stand it when people call others 'simpletons' just because they disagree with them.

I had the severe displeasure of sitting in the East Stand for the Sheffield United game and it was awful in there. The back row so I saw nothing above head height because of the rafters and the whole stand is just stuck in the 80's.

As for watching the back of someone's head in the lower bowl, how does that work then? Surely that was the same for people watching athletics? Except it wasn't.

Some people want the move, some don't. The fact is that it's happening so we might as well get used to it and, as always, support the team and all that comes with it.

Re: Last nights Bondholders meeting
It absolutely amazes me that there are still herberts coming on here to tell us how great the athletics bowl will be. They're like the Yes voters in Scotland who are being regularly lied to by Salmond and his acolytes but continue to eat up all the bullshit.

The worse thing about all this is that taxpayers are stumping up £200 million to turn a decent athletics bowl into an not fit for purpose football bowl.

For those of you banging on about where the best views will be, you have two choices. If you prefer to be not too far from the action but don't mind watching your football at virtually pitch level with your view impaired by the blokes head in front of you, then the inner bowl is just for you.

If you'd rather be watching from a higher vantage point but are happy to be further away from the pitch than practically any seat in the Boleyn ground, then the outer bowl is right up your street.

Still, we mustn't be too negative because I'm told we're going to have a great wrap and some crossed hammers on a few seats, and the transport links will be great (although where the fuck we'll park I don't know), and best of all we'll be out of Upton Parkistan (as someone wrote on here recently.

I just hope that the blindly optimistic simpletons amongst you have the good grace to come on here in a couple of years and admit just how stupidly wrong you were.

But surely this super software they've supposedly got for viewings can do the job before the stadium's actually finished?

Nice swerving again.

It's interesting isn't it how you'll directly contradict pretty much everything in the OP yet you won't confirm or deny the ticket price line other than some mealy mouthed "there will be cheaper tickets" which means nothing.
